Are you an Organisational Development professional looking for a totally new and unique opportunity?
Middlesbrough Council with Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council and Teesside University has secured over £5 million funding from the National Institute of Health and Care Research (NIHR) to establish a Health Determinants Research Collaboration (HDRC). We need two Organisational Development professionals to support this.
Our HDRC has the vision that South Tees will be an international beacon for research and innovation in tackling poor health outcomes and inequalities. In order to do this, we need to establish firm foundations for research in the two Local Authorities and develop a strong plan that changes organisational culture so that using and creating evidence and research becomes the norm.
Working to the Senior OD Business Partner, the two OD Business Partners will work as a dedicated team to develop and deliver our plan to create and embed our HDRC and its vision, aims and missions. The two OD Business Partners will each be allocated to work as a specialised contact with either Middlesbrough Council or Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council in order to develop effective relationships to deliver the HDRC mission and embed a positive research development culture.
To be our ideal candidate, you will have knowledge and experience of supporting and delivering organisational development plans across large and complex organisations. You will be able to demonstrate how you can take organisational development theory and practice and translate them into appropriate and effective organisational development solutions, translating our priorities into clear plans to enhance effectiveness across the organisation.
We are also looking for someone who can demonstrate excellent interpersonal, collaboration, communication and organisation skills that enable you to work with and present to internal and external colleagues of all levels. You will be able to work confidently with data to develop actions collaboratively with our people. Our drive to develop our HDRC means we are looking for someone to join us who is passionate about creating a positive workplace research culture and ensuring we continue on our journey to become an international beacon in line with our HDRC vision alongside the wider strategies and values of the three organisations and our partners.
The South Tees HDRC is one of 12 that the NIHR has funded in 2022 and 2023 with more coming online in future years, requiring the team collaborate locally and nationally.
These posts will commence on Monday 2nd October 2023 and are fixed term for an initial period of five years.
