South Tees Youth Offending Service are seeking to appoint an Assistant Operations Manager with motivation and vision to join our management team. You will have the drive and determination to contribute to the future development of STYOS, improving performance and ensuring quality in the delivery of our work.
You will join a strong and experienced management team and a stable, integrated and committed workforce who are focused on improving outcomes for young people through the application of best practice and high professional standards.
To be appointed at M grade, you must have proven management skills, demonstrable experience of working in youth justice or a related area and the ability to lead, develop and support a team of youth offending service staff. You should have experience of working with young people with complex needs and a proven ability to improve outcomes. The ability to build and maintain effective relationships with colleagues from partner agencies is a key skill for achieving success in this role.
Applicants without previous management experience are invited to apply, and will initially be appointed to the link grade L until a positive decision is made to allow progression in accordance with a set of strict competency criteria. When the employee has successfully demonstrated competency in all required areas at grade L, the employee will progress to grade M.
