Middlesbrough Council are seeking to appoint 4 x Casual Project Workers.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a supported accommodation service for nine young people aged 16 – 18 year old.
The successful candidates will have a background working with vulnerable people in a housing or support related environment. Experience of working with young people in a Psychologically Informed way and delivering guidance and advice around Education, Employment and Training is desirable.
A day-to-day basis will include supporting young people to maximise their potential thorough the acquisition of independent living skills, their engagement in education or employment and meeting their health and personal safety goals. You will also work to build and maintain partnerships with local agencies and community groups and actively involve young people in the running of the project.
You will have experience of working with support/care plans and risk assessments/safety plans. Also, be committed to providing a high quality of care and support, which meets the physical, emotional, intellectual, behavioral, health, social and cultural needs of the young people. This will include working with young people who are at risk, have challenging behaviour, emotional problems, mental health disorders and other needs.

You will also be required to work unsocial hours, including weekends, bank holiday and nights. A Full UK Driving License is required along with business insurance. Mileage will be paid for any work related travel.
