The DfE have invested over GBP 84 million over five years to support up to twenty Local Authorities to improve their work with families and safely reduce the number of children entering care. Middlesbrough is one of the local authorities who will be benefitting, by working with North Yorkshire to implement its No Wrong Door Model, under the name Futures for Families.
The Futures for Families team will provide a rapid response to children and families in crisis, enabling them to address and overcome the difficulties that have led to the family being at risk of breakdown, and prevent further escalation and referral to care proceedings.
Working as the Performance Analyst for the service you will work with the senior managers to collect, design and build business intelligence solutions. As a key and highly valued member of the team, you will be perfectly placed to understand the performance of the new service and report this to senior colleagues both internal and external to Middlesbrough. We need an approachable, flexible colleague with excellent communication and influencing skills who has the skills to obtain, analyse and make links across a wide range of data intelligence sources.
Data intelligence will be collected across a wide range of areas including data directly provided by our Hub team, an external evaluator and Middlesbrough data intelligence from across the authority. You will use this data to understand and influence performance needs, and engage and work with multi-agency colleagues to understand and make links with their service data to understand and evidence the impact of the new 'No Wrong Door' model.
You will report and work closely with the Residential Care Service Manager but also work closely with the Strategic Project Board, colleagues from the Department for Education and a range of data experts.
You will be an essential part of the Futures for Families service, transforming the data in to actionable insights and recommending solutions and new initiatives to improve performance.

Applicants must:
Significant knowledge of children's social care services and associated legislation.
Substantial knowledge of the relevant legislation, policy and good practice standards at both local and national level.
Detailed up to date knowledge of relevant services.
Knowledge of performance management / evaluations tools and methodologies.
