Middlesbrough Council has an exciting opportunity to recruit a Placement Officer who is highly driven and passionate about securing better outcomes for Looked After Children.
The post-holder will be required to deal with sensitive information connected to the Looked After Children being placed which can be of a distressful nature.
The post holder will be expected to undertake all tasks involved in the sourcing of independent placements for Looked After Children. The post-holder will need to work in collaboration with a range of stakeholders and offer support and guidance where necessary.
An Assistant Placement Officer has recently been employed who this post-holder will manage and they will support you in undertaking the placement sourcing process and ensure your time is focused on ensuring their is sufficient placement choice.
