The Hearing Impaired Service is looking for an exceptional enthusiastic self-motivated Teacher of the Deaf to work within the Tees Valley area.

The successful candidate should have:
Qualified Teacher Status
Recent teaching experience in a mainstream or special school setting
Mandatory qualification for a Teacher of the Deaf e.g. MA in Deaf Education or a willingness to train
CACDP/Signature Level 2 BSL or a willingness to train
Proven track record of high quality teaching
Recent experience working with SEND pupils
Knowledge of current legislation and best practice relating to the inclusion of pupils with SEND in mainstream schools
This is a teaching contract, however there is an expectation that team members contribute to the services neonatal screening commitments in school holidays. This aspect will be discussed at interview.
