Location: The East and West Locality Social Work Teams cover the whole of the Middlesbrough area. The service is very keen to promote flexible working for all staff. This includes agile working at home as well as other Middlesbrough Council bases.
Middlesbrough Council are looking to expand our Adult Social Care workforce and we are delighted to announce that the East Locality Team of Middlesbrough is looking to recruit Social Workers who are looking for a new challenge and offer 3 permanent contracts. We are currently seeking to recruit experienced or newly qualified Social Workers to join us as we add to our current workforce.
We work with vulnerable adults over 18 who have a diverse range of short and long term needs. Applicants with an interest in supporting people experiencing substance and alcohol use, domestic abuse and homelessness may find this particularly interesting along with supporting people who are on the Autistic Spectrum and people who need support with their physical and mental health.
Due to the varied nature of the team we are therefore looking for Social Workers who are adaptable and is able to work with a varied caseload.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified individuals (CSS, CQSW, DipSW, Degree in Social Work). Applicants should also be registered, or eligible for registration, with Social Work England.
This role is covered by the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) (Amendment) (Coronavirus) Regulations 2021, which came into force on 11th November 2021. In addition to standard pre-employment checks, an employment offer will be conditional on evidence of a completed course of an authorized vaccine or clinical medical exemption.
