We are looking for a Safeguarding Information and Compliance Officer who will work to support elected members in their role as corporate parent and as champion for the child to ensure that Middlesbrough children are well supported to stay safe. The successful post holder will work in partnership with a range of stakeholders across Education and Social Care teams and be committed to keeping children safe and working together to achieve the best possible outcomes for children and families.
The post holder will be an experienced care professional who is passionate about delivering high quality care and has experience of delivering effective safeguarding to vulnerable young people as well as training and support for schools and settings. The role requires you to play a pivotal role for supporting schools to implement policy and procedures to safeguard children and young people. The post holder will act as a central point of contact between internal and external audiences.
Collaborative partnerships are at the heart this role so the successful candidate will need excellent communication skills, rigour and energy to build relationships and have a keen eye for data and improved outcomes. We are looking for someone to help deliver the Middlesbrough Mayor’s ambition vision, driving forward improvement and meeting our challenges.
