This post is part of the Senior Management Team for Resident and Business Support. The role will involve the development of strategic interventions, management of strategic direction for the relevant service areas and working collaboratively to ensure the Councils vision, goals and core values are achieved.
The role is one of two roles that has senior responsibility for the delivery of the Centralised Debt Collection Solution, Financial Assistance Advice and Support Offering which includes the Corporate Welfare Provision, Food Poverty Strategy and the Crisis Support Solution, and the Revenues and Benefits Service Delivery Strategy. In addition the role will also support and facilitate pathways to other directorates where there is a need to introduce/support corporate welfare solutions or business growth opportunities all of which support the overarching solutions/objectives and ambitions of the Service and the Council.
This is a really exciting opportunity, Resident and Business Support is an extremely high profile service. We are looking for someone who has significant experience of managing multi-disciplined/diverse service areas and has a comprehensive understanding of Collection Strategies, policy and scheme design. In addition, the successful candidate will need to provide a hands on approach when necessary and ideally has Revenues and Benefits Experience.

You have significant experience of managing resident based services at a senior level.
OR
You are an experienced Senior Revenues and Benefits Leader.
AND
Extensive experience of developing & delivering cash collection strategies.
Extensive experience at a Senior Management level in managing Welfare Support Solutions.
Budget responsibility above £10m.
