This is an exciting time to be working for Middlesbrough Council. The town is facing significant change and challenges with many new and quality developments occurring throughout the town, and Environment Services are at the centre of much of what is happening. We are now looking to recruit a Manager within Environment Services.
The successful candidate will be expected to:
Achieve the Mayors vision for Middlesbrough through the delivery of the Councils range of Places and Spaces services, providing strategic direction to all Service Delivery Managers, in corporate policy and strategy, business research and development, performance management, business planning, service review and the change programme.
Support the Head of Service in the provision of effective service delivery.
Aim to achieve equality of access and treatment in employment and service delivery.
Ensure that financial and physical resources are allocated effectively to enable the delivery and implementation of services in accordance with agreed standards targets and expectations.
Middlesbrough Council is totally committed to continuous organisational and employee development. The post holder is required to participatefully in all initiatives, which facilitate continuous improvement in both service quality and employee development and performance.
The core hours of the post are 37 per week, Monday to Friday. However, there will need to be an element of flexibility to cover weekend work, Council meetings, events & emergency out of hours work.
