Due to a recent restructure we now have the opportunity to recruit a senior residential support worker to join our team at 22 Levick Court. We are looking for candidates who have great communication skills, have initiative and are hardworking with experience of working in a social care environment. It is imperative to be caring, compassionate and able to work as part of a team as well as independently. You also have to be able to follow instructions and be reliable. Candidates must also be enthusiastic, flexible, and creative and work collaboratively to deliver person centred services. We provide both respite and residential care for adults with learning disabilities with a varied range of care needs. We are looking for a person who can deliver excellent care to a diverse service user group.
Key duties of the Senior Residential Support Worker post will include:
1:1 supervision to a team of staff
Manage the day to day running of the service
Deputise in the absence of the manager
Ensure compliance with all statutory bodies.
Assess and monitor the quality of care provided.
Complete assessments as required
The successful candidate will be committed to the continuing development of Learning Disability Care services. It is desirable that applicants have experience of working with adults who have learning disabilities; the successful applicant will need to be committed to the values of Middlesbrough Council.
Applicants will be expected to participate in the agreed working rota which includes mornings, evenings, weekends, waking nights and bank holidays as required.
