We are seeking to recruit a care team who will work directly with those young people and families who are in need, from within a purpose built residential setting.

Background
The DfE have invested over GBP 84 million over five years to support up to twenty Local Authorities to improve their work with families and safely reduce the number of children entering care.
Middlesbrough is one of the local authorities who will be benefitting, by working with North Yorkshire to implement its No Wrong Door Model, under the name Futures for Families.
The Futures for Families team will provide a rapid response to children and families in crisis, enabling them to address and overcome the difficulties that have led to the family being at risk of breakdown, and prevent further escalation and referral to care proceedings.
Applicants must:
Have NVQ/Diploma Level 3 Residential Childcare qualification or equivalent for both posts or be wiling to work towards.
Be enthusiastic and motivated to support young people and families on the edge of care within the community and residential setting
An understanding of child development and challenging behavior
A positive attitude and a restorative approach when working with young people
