We are seeking to recruit suitable people to work within our Fostering Service. The service provides support to approved foster carers looking after our children. Your role will be to support fostering social workers and foster carers.
The successful candidates will provide a high quality of support service, which meets the physical, emotional, intellectual, behavioural, health, social and cultural needs of the children and families for whom the fostering service support. This may include working with foster carers looking after children who may have very challenging behaviour, complex emotional problems, mental health disorders and other additional/special needs.
The successful candidates will be based in the fostering service. Whilst most of our foster carers are based in Middlesbrough and surrounding areas, we do have some foster carers based across the country, therefore you may be required to provide support outside of the North East at times.
Applicants must:
Experience of working with children and young people within a fostering setting.
An understanding of child development and challenging behaviour.
A positive attitude and the ability to work with children, young people, and their fostering families.
You will also be required to work unsocial hours including weekends and bank holidays.
A Full UK Driving License is a requirement for this post.
